Well I just purchased a Uniden Pro 538 CB Radio. The radio claims to have PA output, does anyone know what would be needed to do actually run a PA System ? Is there a specific speaker I would need?

Go to radioshack and ask for a Pa speaker or Pa horn, You also need a 3.5mm jack connector for it. I got the 50/100 w in my truck

Do you consider your 100w to be loud enough? And the PA speaker will be powered by the 3.5 mm Jack alone? I thought this was just the audio connection, doesn't the speaker itself need power?

Mine is powered by the CB. I had the 30/60 it wasnt loud it at all. The 50/100w is louder. If i recall correctly you can run an amp with this to boost up the sound (someone correct me if im wrong). Also look in the back of the CB there should be a port that says PA. I believe its a 3.5mm jack.
