    Calling the Audio Gurus!

Since I got the Tacoma it has been nothing but a blast. However I miss having some depth to the music. So now I am looking to add that missing piece to the puzzle. I used to have (still have in the garage) a ported box housing a 10" Orion 10.4 subwoofer, Orion 1200D amp. That was in my older Cherokee which has been long gone.

Now I already have a Pioneer DEH-P5900IB for the head unit. Which did "help" livin up the stock speakers however, I know that they will have to be replaced in time for some better quality components.

So my question is this, I am looking into the shallow mount subs. I am trying to find a good way to use my old sub without killing alot of the room in the back. Now due to my lack of experience in this matter in full, I was assuming the best place to mount it would be the center at the rear of cabin? For the most part not many people ride in the back, however if need be it might be one person. So one thought would have been to do the enclosure behind the drivers side.

If anyone has it mounted in that place how has it sounded? I know it will seem louder... However I am hoping for a balanced sound.

So with this if anyone out there has any recommendations, or input that would be fantastic.

PS: Mr. Marv if you happen to see this, I know I have picked your brain about a box for the access cab. I was wondering if you have made any for 10's, roughly around a cubic foot of air space that you have found to work well in the taco's.

The blue straps also allow the sub to double as a child seat/restraint system.:D

Only an 8" but it sounds great and doesn't take up much room.

The velcro on the storage compartment that the seat folds down onto kept it in place okay but I figured once panic stop it would fly off. I have since moved it onto the floor behind the amp so that I can keep the seat folded down. No place for it to move now.

Thanks for the input! I am thinkin I may just make a day on the weekend to hook up the old setup so I wouldn't have to worry bout spending any extra money at the moment. Then maybe down the line actually fab up a new enclosure possibly.

    Thanks again for the help.
