Besides trail runs, what else do people use it for? I mean, what use does it typically have on highways?

And what are the common channels, I know 9 is for emergencies...

I think so....I am sure that at times it's pretty lonely, I would like to think that sometimes I could have a trucker personality....but I don't swear enough.:D:D:D

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
If you're up around my way, Chanel 1 is what the (french)Canadian so called truckers use.

al depends on the antenna and output of the radio if its tuned. an antenna will make all the difference. but its normally 8-15 miles on a good day.

there are CBs with weather channels, truckers use codes for cops; like for example here they call local police or sheriffs "Bear" and State Police (because we don't have Highway police) "Fully Grown Bear"
