Anyone taken the camera apart?

This link looks very cool, but it's not for the DNX7100, it's for the AVN6610. Can the CCD-2000 (the camera for the 7100) be taken apart and put in the license plate light too? Has anyone taken one of these apart?

That CCD-2000 looks about the same size as my Eclipse camera. I just cut the hole big enough for the camera lens. I didn't take the camera apart. I cut up the insides of the license plate light and then epoxied the camera in place. Then mounted a LED license plate bulb in the little bit of space left over next to the lightbulb lens.

I like it here because it gives a really nice centered view and shows the edge of the bumper so I can back up within an inch of hitting something, I originally wanted it mounted to the bottom of the tow hitch, but the view sucks and it is angled up. I wouldn't want it anywhere else except here or if there is a compatible plate mounted camera, but there isn't.
