Alpine stereo: iDA-X303 vs iDA-X305
After being set on the Alpine CDA-105 for months I went to best buy last night and played with both the CDA-105 and the iDA-X303. Well I loved the 303! it looks incredible and the entire stereo seemed more solid and well built then the CDA-105. Now the dilemma is that theres another iDA thats one step above the 303: the iDA-305. It has a full color customizable screen and fits many more characters on the screen. the 303 has a 2 color, 2 line screen with not much room for and characters, which will be pain to have to watch it scroll almost everytime to know what im listening to. So is it worth it to pay an extra $60 for the 305? This is also a bday present from the parents and im not trying to sqeeze every dime out of them, but the 305 does look pretty cool with the color screen and large amount of characters.

i got my numbers on crutchfield though. it was $200 for the 303 and $260 for the 305

I would go with the 305, I had the IDA-X100. Same model just from a year back, and just from playing with the two, I would definitely pay the extra to go with that, but that's my 2 cents.
