Are you trying to merge images already taken at different exposures? What exactly are you having an issue with?

No three different pictures with different exposures must be used.

on my nikon d60 you... actually nikon and canon are much different...... but i would like to know how to do this aswell! (HDR not change exposure haha)

many different ways. best way though is go into the menu and look for bracket. 3 photos is enough but the more exposure the merrier.

Use a tripod(or something to hold the camera still, it must not move between exposures) and take the pictures, it will automatically change the exposures between each time you press the shutter release.
