Need an amp

    I need an amp for my JL audio 10inch W3V3 2OHMS... dont know much about what type of amp i need. pretty sure it needs to be 300 watts? but i dont know what brand or the channel stuff, advice would be nice =]

    The issue with that speaker is the 2 ohm voicecoil. If it was 4 ohm or higher any of a few 100 amps would work but since its 2 ohm your pretty limited. Basically you need a mono amp thats 2 ohm stable. Jl audio makes a 250/1 thats pretty good but a bit pricey, Hifonics makes several that fit the bill and Ebay typically has good deals on these. However my best recomendation is Rockford Fosgate. Their mono amps are really good for the money and look nice as well. I looked it up on Ebay and you can get one for only $150 brand new that will do 300W at 2 ohms (it ends it 20 mins though). Let us know what you pick up and how it sounds.

    jl audio 250/1 but ya they are on the expensive side
