Mounting infinity tweeter
I am replacing the stock front speakers, in an 06 access cab, with Infinity 60.7cs components. The woofers fit fine but I am open to suggestions on how to mount the tweeters, probably using the stock bracket if possible. Has anyone done this or have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. CJ

Below is how I do it using 1/4" MDF. You'll note that there is a notch on one side and that it is mounted to the BACK side of the original bracket. This is done to allow clearance between the new tweeter and the door panel grill as some tweeters protrude more than the factory speaker.

Thanks for the quick reply. I cut a metal bracket out of 18 ga but did not like the fit. Using 1/4 in MDF sounds like a good alternative. The issue is the height of the tweeter with the screen on but if your 1/4 version works then that should not be an issue as the height of the screen is 3/8 of an in but I could space it back if necessary. The brackets can be cut off to allow for a flush fit on the back side. Thanks again CJ
