    GoinDeep,

Thanks for the info, seems perfect to me. I'd reformat it anyway. The ipod is an easier option, just don't want to keep plugging and unplugging it; I use it at work in a dock with a remote.

Anyone try to fab the USB jack into the aux input? Thought I might try epoxy...can't think of any other way to hold it firmly into the panel.

I saw a thread where someone dremeled out the extra blank switch plate and just wedged it into the hole. Don't want it to fall behind the panel after pushing in and out a few times.

    Thanks again for the input,

    Ray

Go to your local dealer and buy the 2010 TUNDRA USB/AUX blank...I am sure there is a way to fab up something using a standard USB cable. read over the last few post he has pics of the blank I am tlaking about.

Has anyone here with either the 693 or 993 played around with their HU's time alignment? If so, how well did it work?

IMO i dont think it is going to do much in a Tacoma with such a small cab anyways...Usually time alignment just makes it sound "louder" because the sound it hitting your ear at the same time...But with the rear speakers being so close. I don't think it is worth the time and effort.

It is one of those features that the first time you battery dies you will forget to reset...I have only ever used it once in the past and the difference was minimal in a car...Home theater is a different story.

I was going to try it one of these days when it warms up and i can sit around in the truck all day.

one more question, did you get the steering wheel interface?? There was a comment on Crutchfield.com about some guy having a hard time getting his to work. The X993 is on sale right now for $50 off, so I think I am going to take the plunge.

    Thanks

This is the one I bought, one of the only options I think.
Haven't wired it in yet, there's a thread on it somewhere
    on here.

SWI-JACK Pac Steering Wheel Interface, Unit price: $54.95

I got the 993 for Christmas and it is great. The knobs are easy to use once you get used to them. I do miss the buttons on the front for the radio stations but I can live without them. I highly recommend the 993 for those who want the bluetooth.

    question for you??
On the remote does your "select" things??
For example...I can scroll through my songs using the up and down (big round button) but i have to push the knob to select what i want? Can i "ENETER" it from the remote?

If it will I can't find it either. That is one of the only complaints I have. Also, that there is no magnifying glass on the remote for the radio stations....
