Ok so I have some spending money handy and would like to get my bass thumpin. First I will let you know that I listen to mostly rap stuff. I've been lookin around and learning a few things at the same time. I've picked a sub out and what I think might be a good amp for it. What do you guys think?

    Infinity 1252w Reference

    Eclipse XA1200

The sub has great reviews and only being 50 bucks is great. (discontinued) The amp also has good reviews and what i believe to be a nice price. Am I headed in the right direction? Your thoughts would be awsome. Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to add that space is not that big of an issue cause i don't do much back there anyway.

Also, if I decided I wanted another of the same sub, would the amp still be ok? Thanks guys.

I wouldn't expect much "bass thumpin" from what use to be a $100 sub that is now discounted down to $50. There's a reason it is priced so cheaply. If you have some spending money, get a better sub.

I wouldn't go with that subwoofer if i were you. I would save up and get something better that will satisfy me.

If you do decide to go that route, that amp isn't good for that subwoofer... You'll be overpowering the subwoofer which will most likely kill it.

Always look at the RMS ratings, not the max/peak ratings :)
