I have the JBL installed woofer. I'm getting a semi regular distortion sound from it when I use the radio or CD listening to all sorts of music. Has anyone else had any issues? No, we don't crank it up so it's not due to anything we did. thanks

JBL is not what it used to be. They have lowered their standards to Chinese standards. You may have a ripped diaphragm or a amp channel issue. PM Mr Marv or Jesse for a professional opinion.

I'm not familiar with your available settings. Can you adjust the crossover frequency? What's your bass level set at? I'd try lowering it.

For the amount you paid for that system, you should get the only real value in it, by having the dealer fix it for free.
