Aux Input

Yes, the PA-15 from Crutchfield will give you the AUX input you need. I use it all the time for my sons (and mine) PSP / DS. Sounds really good!

Great. Thanks!

I was searching around and read that it disabled the CD changer (taking those controls for the iPod). Since I'm just using it as an aux input adapter, I'd like to leave the CD changer functional (the wife still like to use those silly disc things sometimes).
Does anyone know if I can leave the changer working and just use the aux input? Thanks!

PS - It looks like the PA12 can be found a little cheaper and seems to be the same for Tacomas.

I have the PA15 and I can use the Ipod, AUX, sat, AND the 6 disk CD, when ever I want. The head unit switches between functions useing the "disk" button.

Figured I would give an update on the volume issue with the METRA or AXXESS adaptors.

Some ppl, including my self had issues with these units outputing low volume and assumed it was the adaptor itself. I unplugged my Sansa Clip and tried my cell phone (Pantech Duo) and the volume was normal (Equal to that of the radio).

After fiddling with my Sansa Clip, I found a menu for the equalizer. I swapped it to the custom setting and increased the gain on all but the lowest frequency and BOOM! Volume is rockin. Unless you have an aftermarket sub, i would leave the bass frequency turned down. I have the in dash set to -1 and when i cranked it up on the MP3 player it really started slammin my stock JBL POS.
