hey guys i've been looking around for a sub n right now i'm thinking of getting the JL Audio 12w7 what would be a better sounding sub??? size doesn't really matter because i'm going to leave it on the back seats so that i can remove them at will.what would be a amp to power them also???

If you're looking for a great SOUNDING sub I'd advise against getting a 12W7. You need to define your goals much better first before you spend any money.

Depends on what kind of bass you want. Loud and booming or a nice filler.

35% up front, 20% in the back window tint, 15" Mickey Thompson bullet hole wheels, with 31x10.5 Firestone Destination A/T tires. Glass Pack, High Flow Cat, S&B CAI, Custom Light Bar with 4 fog lights. 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P2 subs with 1000 watt Rockford Fosgate Amp, CB.
One of my buddies has $800 in his sub and his hits harder and louder than my two Rockford puches, he has a 12" and I have two 10" with no amp. His is JL audio and it will literally rattle your sack anywhere you sit in the truck. If you set a cell phone on top of his truck it will rattle and jump about 6" off the truck it hits that hard. He has it in his 1st gen taco and nothing inside the truck rattles, it sounds great. Although I dunno what brand of amp he has but I know its pushing 1000 amps.

I love mine, I need to get an amp hooked up to mine, nothing fancy something that will push about 500 amps, they'd sound great then!

No, they are just wired up through my speakers, and yeah they hit pretty hard, and they are pretty loud. An amp would help me out greatly! But they hit good without one.

Anything really, my buddy has the same thing, with a pioneer 2000 watt amp, and it pounds great. Really I believe all you would really need is 1000 watts, maybe 1500.

I swear b y JL Audio subs. I will never use any other kind of sub. They sound great, they hit hard, and I've never had a JL sub go out on me.

JL is getting so obnoxious. Everyone on this forum rants and raves about it even though it's incredibly overpriced.

Powerbass probably makes the best cheap subs
Besides that, I'm pretty much all Re.
