My dad's 08 taco has the little spot for the door tweeters, but does he really have them in there? he bought a BASE model regular cab, no power windos even. Do those come with them? if not where can i get them?

Best way to tell is to put the radio on and put your ear to them. If no sound then Dad can buy some nice aftermarket tweets at Radio Shack or any mobile audio shop. They are nice to have as they enhance your music and brighten the AM side a bit:
