I have the dnx6140 and love it. It has all the bells and whistles at a reasonable price. you can sometimes catch crutchfield running some through their outlet store.

Go with DNX 6160. I might be pulling the trigger on this hu really soon. In process of upgrading my system and don't want to strip factory wiring harness to install line output converter.

There is a group buy going on for the Pioneer AVIC-Z1100BT for $720 after rebate. I am torn between that and the Kenwood especially for the Garmin GPS which I'm already used to. Are there any other big differences between the Kenwood and Pioneer units?

    I ordered mine today.

Kenwood is a good unit and I have a number of friends that have them. Unfortunately I have horrible luck with them.
I do beleive I got 2 crap units, just odds.

the features, user funcitonality and sound are very good.

    Thanks for the info.

I talked to an installer the other day and he suggested either Pioneer or Kenwood. I called a retailer who said both are good but the Pioneer is a great unit and that he sells Pioneer to Kenwood 3 to 1.

I keep checking out the Pioneer and what I'm finding is that people say that the audio for both is good but the BT and Ipod use is better with the Pioneer but the Nav is better with the Kenwood. Since I will probably use the audio and Nav more and step up to an Ipod later I may just go with a comparable Kenwood model.

I'll take a look at the excelon dnx6960 since I am sticking with my factory speakers until I can build up some more cash.
