How bad does you back seat harm your bass?

    I have never had a pickup before the Tacoma. I have always heard the back seat ruins sub perfomance. How bad does your back seat hurt SQ and SPL vs when the seat is down and the sub exposed? Also why do I see so many people witht he hard seat back removed and cloth in its place? Is that a resonace thing or does the woofer have excursion into the seat back or what?

    The sub is in the same cabin airspace as you and a seat being in front of it wont audibly decrease performance.
