Strange Question

I always like to try out different brands of audio equipment hoping to find that no-name (or lesser known) brand that has a great price tag yet excellent sound. There are so many new companies these days. Anybody had any luck finding such a company. Examples: Helix, Cadence, Powrbass, Precision Power, etc. I am not looking to spend more than $150-200 for 6 1/2" components up front and a cheaper pair of 6 1/2" coaxials for the rear.

I personally think Inifinity is pretty good brand for cheap components. Little harsh, lack a little low end, but pretty clear and efficient.

 

I thought about trying CDT audio or cadence out. Anyone had any experience with these companies. Thanks

 

Also what about hifonics speakers. I know they make great entry-level amps

 

Morel, CDT (if you can find them), PG actually makes some decent components, PPI, HAT if you raise your budget a bit, Rainbow as well.

 

If you haven't listened to the Phoenix Gold RSD 65CS component speakers, then you're really missing out.

 

Yeah I had the Phoenix Gold Ryval 6.5" components and they were decent. I have heard several people recommend the RSD's. Are they good for the money.

 

I can't think of any speaker that even comes close for the price. I'm a home audio enthusiast at heart as most of the car systems that I've heard sound pretty bad. The RSD components though really come close to "high end" sound and can be had for less than $100 from woofers etc. Get'em while you still can.
