I just completed the install of my Cobra 75 WXST. I thought I'd share my mike mounting method.

I purchased a Tacoma Console Mount from ProClip, #834163. A simple install that took about 1 minute:

Then I mounted the mike clip to the top of the ProClip mount like this:

Done. When the CB is not in the truck, a ProClip cell phone holder takes it's place. :)

Run power fused off the battery. I did the center console mounting where the control box is on the back of console inside the rear cover piece and the mike/control part is inside the center console. Coax runs out where the emergency brake cables exit the cab on hump under console. Antenna folds down behind cab when not in use, which is most of the time. Fixing to swap out the 3' antenna for a 4'. It will still fold down and not stick out past the side of the bed. Not the best reception mounting spot but works fine and is out of the way and not scraping the garage door coming in and out. Would also scrape at work parking garage too.

I don't want to revive a dead thread but I need help. I swapped the female and male connectors on my cobra 75. I'm showing continuity on the mic side between pins 3 and 4 which are common and RX. Is this normal? Can someone with a multi-meter check?
