Hey guys, was wondering if any of you did this:

I ordered the Dice DCR-50 Mount for my iPhone (iPod is in the glovebox hooked up to the Alpine ina-w900, so I'm not doing this for the purposes of listening to music)

I'm going to swing by Radioshack and grab something similar to this:

Just going to mount it and have a place to permanently charge my iphone while mounting it (from what I read) very securely. I've seen a lot of things fashioned but nothing with this mount in particular. I'm going to use the added 12v for the charger and stash it somewhere behind the dash so it's out of sight and, not that I really need 2 cigarette lighters, keep both 12v outputs open and the center console looking clean.

Bluetooth sucks the life out of the iPhone so I'm hoping this will counteract that pitfall and keep a sharp look in the car. This could also be an option if you wanted to hook it into your radio as well, as you could run the cable coming out of the unit into the back of the dock but I'm just going to run a simple car charger into it. Guess you could do music over bluetooth as well.

I'll post up pics in a few days when I have it installed, just seeing what you guys think and perhaps if there's any problems I may run into that I haven't thought about.

If you can wire the dock connector to a USB cable you'd be in business. That is, if your HU has a USB input. Otherwise, you'd want to wire it to an auxillary cable (inferior to USB) if that's what your HU has.
