Just installed my new head unit today. And now that it is dark outside, It appears that my clock is super bright? It doesnt get any darker when the dimmer wheel is rolled, Cant remember if it did before?? anyways, anyone else have this issue, or am I just a tard?

Some units have a connection for the dimmer wire and some do not. If you were able to connect one, the dimmer wheel should work for stereo illumination.

Some HU's have an option in the menu to have different brightness settings (usually 3 different levels), check the manual.

Clock on the HU or in the panel? I am assuming you are talking about the OEM clock. If so, did you somehow splice the radio's illumination wire to power or ground (not sure if its negatively or positively switched). That would feed a constant voltage instead of a regulated one, causing constant bright.
