Has anyone tried laying the MLV on the back wall in one full sheet, following the dips and valleys? This is my next step.

I know ItalynStylion didn't, or from his pics I saw. and I'm guessing it's b/c the MLV wont' conform to those basically square corners and still allow the back wall to snap in?

I got the floor done in basically 3 really big pieces, with about 5 smaller ones here and there (over tranny hump, etc), all attached with the HL-66 adhesive Don sells at SDS. It's as much of a contiguous layer as I could get it.

I was hoping to do the wall in one big sheet as well, but just some playing around last night with a small scrap piece, I'm not sure it's possible. :(

Just in the "valleys" right? Did you try to put some on the higher points, at the top, middle and bottom?

It never would have fit with it over the entire area. At least I wasn't willing to try and have it fail. It was hard enough to get the darn things in there as it was. Here is a pic of mine.

Ok, thanks, I won't even bother trying then I guess.

Bummer, I wonder how much less effective that will be? Those two high areas (I thought there were three) in mine have full deadner and ensolite on them. So maybe between that, and all the jute or crappy factory deadening stuff on the back of the way, that will kill most of what might get by the MLV.

If you're that concerned about that area you should fill it with something. Expanding foam or something similar.

Yeah, I did that for most of it (used a whole can on the back wall in those high areas.) Got that tip from a guy on TN.

Back wall done. Only thing I did different from yours IS was mine has a air pressure vent right under my rear sliding window (access cab) that I had to cut around. I also ran the MLV all the way to the outer walls, with the back of the b-pillar panel that the back wall snaps into holding up/keeping it in place.

Only problem I ran into was a few of the snaps didn't want to stay in and kept popping out. I'll look into it further later, it was late last night. But i think if I trim some of the factory jute off the back wall and replace it with thinner ensolite, it will hopefully snap right into place and stay.

I don't think I have those vents in the back wall. I keep hearing about them and I really don't recall seeing them. My doors take effort to close because the air pressure in the cabin is so high. When you turn the AC on your ears pressurize a little :D

Haha, no, you'd know it if you had. The vent stick out from the wall and is probably about 2" high by 6" wide.

If I remember right, your vent is down under your driver side storage space in the back I think.

Do you see a problem with removing any of that jute from the back wall? I think it'd be ok with the amount of deadening, ensolite, and mlv that is back there now...
