i have one behind the passenger side of my DC. At first i had to cut the plastic, then i just deleted all of them for more space. Sounds very good for its tiny box size, i am running it at full power.

Do you have it's own amp powering it? I was thinking of getting the 5 channel JL XD700 to power it even though that amp is listed at 2 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan

Kickers in my experience hold their own very well. I've yet to hear anything about the CVTs, but if they're anything like the CVR's you'll be just fine with that amplifier. Car audio seems to have come pretty far in the last few years. I am blown away by the performance of my shallow mount Rockford.

i have an old school rockford amp giving it 400rms @4ohms. These subs have trouble hitting real low bass at high levels since theyre shallow.

Kind of late but got mine on passenger side. Drivers side is a little to small because of the seat brackets.Running alpine mrp-m500 mono amp .Enough bass for me.
