Sub turns off and on..

So the problem is when i turn up the bass boost or gain the sub will turn off and on.. dont know what the problem is maybe someone can help me out.

This is my set up..

The sub turn on and off or the amp?

 

i guess it's both.. a little light on the amp flashes and cuts power to the sub.

dont know why because if i hook up a 12" pioneer sub it wont happen. works fine with the 12" but not the 10"

 

sounds like its over heating

 

yeah checked everything. not overheating though.

 

amp is behind the rear seat

 

What gauge wiring are you running?

 

Check your ground wire.
