I have had my HU installed for almost 2 years now, and the damn thing doesn't dim. I don't know which wire to hook the dimmer wire into. Anyone know the color of a wire that only carries power when the parking/headlights are on that is back there with all the other stereo stuff. I don't wanna be running wires down to my steering wheel controls or anything.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
Should be. That is generally the illumination wires color.

If you're JBL its green. Just double check it with a tester when you turn the lights on. :D

This is a very easy fix! I will be doing my head unit install Saturday. I will be using the wire that powers my shifter illumination lights in my center console. I will post the color of the wire and pics this week end. Simply a 12 volt source when parking/headlights ate turned on. I have the pioneer AVH-P4400bh
