Help! No sound coming from speakers!

I was driving around today and the sound suddenly just cut off. The headunit display the stations stil and the CD still plays. The headunit seems to be functioning fine other than no sound.
I have the JBL system, all stock system.
Could it be the amp has gone bad?

 

I believe the JBL has its own fuse. Let me look

 

Yes, there are two fuses... one is RADIO NO. 1 one is RADIO NO. 2 located in the fuse box under the hood. RADIO 2 is your amplifier fuse and its a 30 amp fuse. Likely your culprit.

 

If its not the fuses, it's more than likely your amp from the JBL system. I had the same thing happen to me earlier this year. After checking the fuse I took it to the dealer. Dealer tried to replace the radio but it didn't fix the issues. Once the amp was replaced, issue was fixed.

These guys are right on. That's the reason I bypassed that garbage. When I got an aftermarket head unit I spliced into all those wires and ran them up to my head unit... That amp is kind of worthless anyways...
