Sub box location recommendations
I am putting a single 10" sub in my '03 Double Cab because the sound system NEEDS some low end kick to fill things out. I currently have JBL GTO 6.5" components up front and 6.5" coaxials in the back door.

I have a Rockford P300-1 monoblock and have a MB Quart RLP254 slim 10" sub on the way (got a great deal so I thought I would try it).

OPTION 1: I was thinking of making a box that fits behind the center console on the floor in the rear, so that I could still fit 2 people in the back seat without having to remove the sub. However, I am probably looking at about .4 cuft for that style box.
Something like this guy did, but I would want the top about flush with the back seat:

OPTION 2: I could build one that just sits on the floor behind the drivers seat that is a little bigger (.65 cuft) so that I can get a little flatter response out of the sub, and I could remove it if I have to carry more than 3 people (which isn't that often, but it does happen).

I don't want to put it behind the rear seats as I want to leave the latch system intact for my daughters car seat. So, which do you think would be the better idea?

But I don't want 2-8" subs behind the seats. I want 1-10" sub.

if you don't drive people around much..... fold down the single seat in the back and build a standard cube box with port up. that's what I did.... sounds pretty awesome.

its usually just me driving around so idgaf what's in my back seat....
