    Hi all,

So i just finished installing a JVC KDR740BT CD Head Unit into my 2005 tacoma. After fishing for a few pieces that fell down into the dash it is in. I will say props to Crutchfield for the help with the wiring harness and the complete kit for installation. It was an ease especially for someone who had never done a DIY install.

There is only one issue I am having which I seek advice. All features work great, except when I pair my Android Razr M with the bluetooth and attempt to play Pandora or Spotify through the unit. I get a buzzing noise that resembles a very poor radio station. The noise is not constant, it breaks from time to time but no moving of the phone or the wires within the head unit seems to affect with the noise comes and goes, I would say it is present at least 90% of the time. I have reset my phone and the unit per manufacturer recommendations and it has not solved the problem.

    Any advice would be great.

Also I will get a picture of the finished product tomorrow, got frustrated and late.

I have a pioneer hu and use my razr m through bluetooth with fairly good success although I have not tried pandora or any other app. Have you tried it with just google play to see if you still have the same hiss?

Bluetooth is the worst way to stream music. Quality sucks and there is a lot of people who do get the buzz noise..

I'd suggest trying BT streaming with a totally different phone to rule out if its the phone or the HU causing the issue. My bet is that it is the phone.

Thanks for the two suggestions I will try both of them and see what I can determine. For now the AUX plug works well for playing music until I can get the issue fixed.

Turns out it is my phone, good call Aw9d. Headed to the verizon store to see if I can get a new phone. It worked well with an IPhone.

Talked to verizon, we did a factory reset and still the same issue. They are sending a new phone in the mail, hopefully that will work.

I said I would upload some photos of the finished product once it was all put back together.

In addition to the parts that came with the Crutchfield kit I added washers to the 4 mounting bolts to get mor purchase on the plastic mounting brackets. I also found that the microphone fits nicely in the small compartment down right of the steering wheel, works well.

Found a cheap Ipod/Smartphone windor mount to hold everything while driving.

Awesome! Glad it was only the phone causing issues.
