My current set up is as follows 2 shallow mount subs, 2 amps in a HORRIBLE custom made box (learned Craigslist isn't the way to go...)

    Subs (x2)

    Amps (x2)
    http://www.amazon.com/MTX-Audio-TD500-1D-Series-Amplifier/dp/B007DZG4GE

Im considering getting this box from Taco Tunes
    http://shop.*********.com/Tacoma-Double-Cab-Subwoofer-Double-Cabinet-10-Round-SUBDOUBLE-RND.htm

I'm curious if anyone has any input in this setup?

Will my subs be compatible with the box (according to the MTX website the subs shouldn't be in a ported box, but Taco Tunes doesnt say if it's ported or sealed)? Any Cubic feet problems here?

Does anyone have this box in their truck already?

Should I run one amp or two amps for this set up?

Sonic Electronix seems to have the best Specs on the subs

I just replaced my entire system and would encourage you lo look at this much cheaper box:
    http://www.amazon.com/Dual-10-Inch-...qid=1389635801&sr=8-2&keywords=tacoma+sub+box
Nothing against *********, but why spend more if it is not needed?

You will need a sub that is 5" or less in depth to fit the box I listed (might be different with the box you listed). I did not want shallow mount since I figured I would either lose some base with the design or pay extra for the design - or both.

I am not familiar with multi amp wiring, but know a little about multi speaker wiring. If you use 1 amp and wire both speakers in paralel, you will get the 500 watts your amp is rated for. For me, 1 amp wired this way is plenty of power/sound(I went sealed box because I like the bass tight - more like rock than rap style music).

Here is the link to my build. Let me know if I can help in any other way:

Is the box sealed tightly? My main concern is buying something to cheap and it not meeting my expectations.

    Any other input?

The taco tunes box looks too small for those subs.

The box fit appropriately for both the subs and the truck. Honestly it fits so snug into the truck, I had to remove the back seats to fit it in. I did end up putting 4 brackets in to screw it to the truck to prevent rattles, but only to make sure that would not hamper the clean bass sound.
