    Has anyone done this to try to find a clean line-level source, ideally directly from the DAC? I wonder if the nasty EQ is pre- or post-DAC or worse- built into it. A schematic of the HU would be prime...

    From what I understand the EQ is built in. I've never tried to find a clean source with it. I don't find the HU to be worth more than a shit flavored lolly pop.
