Howdy gang, it's been a long time. Anyhow, I'm currently running a 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Access cab, I've got a DCPOWER 320 amp alternator stuffed into it where the OEM unit used to be. I've got it supplying juice to 2 batteries in series. I need MORE juice, approximately 270 more amps to be exact.

    Here is my question:
HAS ANYBODY SEEN ANYONE OR KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS DONE A DUAL HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR setup on these 1grfe's yet? Lots of guys are running HO singles like me, but I have been looking and haven't seen a single dual alt setup yet! There has to be some crazy competition audio guys doing a dual alt. If so I'd love to talk to them.

FYI, I'm running a RF(radio frequency) bonded cab/chassis/hood/bed, and all grounds and power supply wires from and to current HO DCpower alt has been upgraded to 1/0 welding cable. I just neeed MORE juice to drop that DC hammer on the airwaves. Thanks ya'll!
    :D

bump.. anybody do dual alts on a tacoma? This 270amp DCPOWER XP, 2 group31 batteries, 1/0 welding cable charging lead off batts and 1/0 for the 10ft run doesn't cut the mustard. I'm destroying my voltage under keydown. 14.2 down to 13.7.....not sure if the Tacoma has a voltage regulator built into the computer. Anybody know that? I would have thought I would get a higher standing voltage without load. something around 14.5 to 14.9 as most DCPOWER XP alts are showing. Maybe the ECM cuts the voltage down at the computer?
