Avid Light Bar Fitment

Hey guys, just got my avid light bar today and tried to install it. I found the two nuts and bolts on either side that it attaches to. But me and my dad both tried to loosen the nuts and could not using a deep well socket wrench, they are just too tight. I'm gonna spray some WD-40 on it an see if that loosens them up any. Any other ideas??? Thanks

Just did mine last weekend and didn't have any issues other then trying to figure out which way the bracket mounts to the frame. Finally figured to out, like solving a puzzle. (didn't come with instructions)

What bolts are you talking about? Bolts on the frame, or the bolts that came with the brackets?

oh yeah that's right, the hard one for me was the rear bumper guard......

The bolts on the frame were really hard to get off but not impossible. They use a shit ton of the red loctite since it's never really supposed to come off. I just used a long handled open face wrench and man-handled it. It's a PITA, but once you break them, it comes right off.

Like your doing WD40 them.

PS mine- Didn't come with any brackets either. Didn't need them.

Brackets were for the rear bumper guard. I put them on at the same time so got the install mixed up.

If you still can't get them off, its breaker bar time!

Will this bar rust if you drove around town with it just bare metal?

Yeah, they were tight. I put a box end wrench on mine, laid down on my side and used my foot as a press and leg-pressed them loose! I didn't have a cheater bar.
