I've seen a few threads around TW lately about a bed rack that Brandon supposedly made for one or two guys. And it looks awesome. Who else would buy one? I think this type of rack is the perfect mix of form and function. It's versatile and it looks way cool!

I emailed Brandon about this but I know he is a busy man. I'm wondering what everyone else would think about these racks? If I were to buy one, I'd want it made at Avid.

Still trying to find the right rack for my Tacoma.

User AllBLKTaco has a bunch of pics of the custom Avid rack in his photos. Here is one before it was mounted:

This one is made by brute force, I like the way Billy pulls in support from the actual bed mounts instead of just having it sit on the rails. Nothing against AVID's design at all, just personal preference. All four corners are bolted through the bed to the frame.

That is a beautiful rack, benbacher. However I think I still prefer the Avid one. It's a little lower, with the rear end having a raised bar to act as a rack mount. I love the design of the top corner crossbars with an open space in the middle and the parallel bars between the supports. I also prefer the mounting setup... I Don't think I would ever need supports going into the bed mounts because.. well, I don't plan on using it as a roll cage anytime soon :p

Alas, I'm not sure Avid is willing to make a production version. I may have to stick with the easily accessible all-pro alternative. :/

I like that one for a bolt together kit. I'm just dreaming either way. I still have to pay billy when my bumper is ready.
