How sturdy is this bar? Could it support say 200lbs?

Yes, I stand on my side rails when washing my truck with no problems and I (used to) weigh 218. The light bar is just as solid.

Great post.

How much longer does this make the truck?
For parking in tight garages.

Thanks. I assume it's roughly the same for a 2012?

Oh yah, 2012. Sorry, never gave it a thought.

HEY, SOMEONE WITH A '12 or '13, GIVE HIM THE ANSWER (Bump)

It is different, see: 2012 Avid Light Bar

Sorry again, I'd wait for the '12/'13 measurement, good luck.
If all else fails, Ya might start a thread askin' that question, in the 2nd Gen forum.

Ah no worries Cape Codder, I'm sure it will be close enough to your measurements. Thanks for the input!

Nice looking set-up for the front. I just traded a 2011 Double cab for a 2013 and was thinking of adding one of these. The '13 has Rhino-liner coated step bars and I like the look. Has anyone coated an Avid bar with the plastic liner material and would a person need to worry about clearance issues with the extra thickness added by the coating? Any advice would be appreciated.

best way to install is just take off the front grill insert and you can reach both bolt no problem with a regular socket.
