Aside from having to move the ebrake cable, would the 8" work on a 3rd gen 4Runner?

You guys have gas tank issues so we don't think they will fit.

Are there any pics from the front so I can see how far it extends pass the diff over the driveshaft? Thinking maybe it can be shorted. I didn't think that part would hit the tank.

The only rubbing I get is farther up the driveshaft.

Just finally got around to throwing mine on and gettin some pictures. I couldn't get the axle clamps to tighten down on the axle really, and I struggled to get the bolt just barely threaded atleast through the length of the nut. The front seemed to clamp good though. It seems I'm hitting on the passenger side corner of the skid where the axle side of the skid comes out from the front (if that makes sense). Anyways I tightened everything and it seems sturdy as hell in place even with the gaps, can't get it to budge. Figured I'd throw up some photos just incase to see if anyone sees anything wrong.

I assume it doesn't matter if the nuts are on bottom or top?

it looks like the weld on your axles housing is stopping the clamps from closing all the way. if you grind the weld just a little they should fit around it.

I'm going to blast it, re-paint & throw it back on after the diff swap.

I've got another vendor working on a trac bar setup - I hope to keep the skid with it but I'm not sure how it's going to work.
