BAMF 2nd Gen and 3rd gen rear shock relocation kit.

    These thing are real nice.. makes the rest of my rear stock suspension flex super nice.. plus with the bilstein 5100 it rides way smooth (within my budget) $100 for both brand new condition! Some guy sold them after test fiting a 1sg gen with about 7-8" of lift and poor guy still couldnt fit these in there. Thanks to BAMF and 2" lift they almost seem short. The axle shock tabs I had to weld horizontal with the bolt hole 1/4" above center of the axle. For now with the stock suspension its what limits the shocks... flexed all the way up and down with about an inch or two more to go in the shock. When I have a better budget I can get some 14" shocks and cut and reweld the lower mounts 2" or so below the axle

    Anyone do this recently? I'm trading my truck in for a 4x4 and need the OEM towers...if you cut yours off and they look semi clean, send them my way! I can't find any oem replacement mounts and my only other option is Jerry offered to make a piece to fit TRD shocks onto this.

    (For the record these mounts of BAMFs are awesome and I fully endorse them. You're welcome)

    The oem towers are fully welded to the frame, so I don't see anyone having a set that isn't mangled. Just buy some cheap billsteins and slap them on. That would be a while lot less trouble. Leave the towers behind and buy another set. Just my opinion.

    I'm not planning on throwing these on a new truck...I'm going full LT this time. I just don't want to explain modified shock towers during the trade in lol. I've got all stock parts going back on.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Your not getting stock towers from anyone they get destroyed when you cut them off. The only way would be to go to a junk yard and cut that whole section of frame out you would have to destroy the frame to get them off unharmed.

    Sigh, I figured as much. Was really hoping someone managed to cut them off pretty - like somehow lol.

    Oh well, Jerry let's talk lol. When can I stop by to get that adapter made? I'm ready to start installing stuff as soon as I get a free weekend

    There is no reason it wouldn't work with sua setup. You would have to mount the springs and then cycle them in order to measure for shock length. Not knowing what shackles you plan to use, the down travel will tell you the length.

    Also consider how you will limit up travel, once you have bumps set you will know where to tack your lower mounts onto the axle.

    Has anyone run this relocation kit with the bilstien 5125 shocks? I do not need a remote resi shock. I want low maintenance!!
