don't think it really matters how much lift (or no lift) you have. Just need to get shocks that are the right length for your application. Pretty sure you need to get new shocks if you get this kit regardless.

I was just curious if 12s were perfect for around a 3" lift like what I have.

It depends on a lot of factors, not just how much lift. The only real way to tell is cycle your leaf pack and measure.

This ^ lift doesn't matter you can fit 12's on a 6" lift mounted like ll and on a 3" they will be /\. This is a custom set up so your springs and shock placement are going to determine on what length your shocks are.

Well I just got my kings on finally! Very happy with everything. One thing I will say is the head of the shock is so big on my kings that if I didn't get the 1.5" bushing size I don't think they would have fit as nicely. They might hit/rub on the relocation kit if you get 1.25" bushing size w/ kings (not sure about other brand shocks).. Also Jerry you might want to give longer bolts if they get 1.5" kits because the threads on my bolts didn't even make it to the plastic part of the nut. Anyways here are the pics:

Then I stacked all the bricks I had to test the flex out a little haha

Is there an alternate install/weld/angle to allow retention of the spare tire? Not looking to go all out travel, just want to give my rear shocks adjust-ability (mount outer to inner per dampening goals) if not a bit more travel while at it.

No you would lose travel mounting the cross member like that. The spare tire needs to be removed for this kit to fit.

Jerry, I have had no luck finding where I thought I had paid for all of the things I wanted. Is there a way I can still get the original low price on the 1st gen relocation kit? As I recall they originally were around $180 on the first group?

Got my kit in. I didn't realize I was going to have to weld it together tho. Hahaha. And good pics of all the parts so I know how everything should line up before I hook up my MIG?

Yeah it is a DIY kit so welding is involved. I dont have any colse ups of them welded up. The best way to do it is mount your shocks in the brackets and tack them up then fully weld your brackets before you weld them on thw truck.

What are the extra holes for on the cross member? It looks like maybe 3 extra holes on each side. Is that to run shorter shocks like say 9" or 10"?

    Thanks dude.

Any idea what length shock would work if I use the outer holes on the upper bracket? I'm going with an ADS shock in the rear.

Nope It all depends on your set up. The best thing is to measure at full bump then go from there.

X2 mostly depends on what leaf pack your running... I have dakars and from what I remember when I was taking measurements a 12" shock worked on the inner two holes and a 10" shock worked for the outter two holes.

Measuring/flexing is the most sure way to do it.
