I wonder if it would be a good idea to spray the frame rail with some undercoating before bolting these on, to prevent rust setting in from water trapped between the slider bracket and the rail. Comments?

I scrubbed mine and hit it with some paint where there were some bare spots.

Okay, you can add me to the list of eagerly awaiting customers supporting an American manufacturer, who not so coincidentally, is an Official TacomaWorld.com vendor!

Still loving the bolt on sliders. I liked the look of the BAMF sliders from pics I had seen on here (no one around me has them) but after installing them - they look even better in person. They were easy to bolt on and only took a couple of hours (you need to be slightly mechanically inclined as in have the right tools and know how to align/bolt up something big and heavy underneath a vehicle. If you can't change your own oil then I wouldn't attempt these on your own). The only 2 hiccups I ran into had nothing to do with the design or quality. The bolt you remove from the bottom of the frame on my passenger side somehow managed to shed some of it's threads on the way out and I couldn't get it back in (again, not because of the sliders). The other issue is that I recommend starting on the driver's side because the brake lines made it a little difficult to get my fat hand inside the frame to line a couple of the bolts up. Again not a design issue, I just had to loosen all the brake line brackets. I say do this side first and get it over with because the passenger side is a breeze.

Another side note - the sliders were packaged amazingly well upon arrival. They were in perfect condition because BAMF too a little extra time to do it right before they were strapped on a pallet. I didn't have to worry about that feeling you get sometimes when you buy something nice/expensive only to have it arrive is a nick or scratch or dent in it before you even install it. I work for UPS so this kind of thing is something I notice about everything I buy.:thumbsup::broccoli:

Now enough blabbering and on to the pics:

Great pics. Most of the pictures are of sets with a kick-out, your pics gave me a better look at what mine will look like. And thanks also for the install tip - I have fat hands too so like your idea of saving the easier one for last. :)

Glad I could help. Yeah, just go ahead and unbolt the brake line bracket at the front. You'll see when you get them and go to install them. there is a metal bar with 2 nuts welded on that you have to be able to get a hand on and maneuver. It's easy to do but you have to make some wiggle room first. All the places for nuts and bolts make sense when you line the slider up - and this guy did a really helpful DIY: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/install-how-to-bamf-100-bolt-on-slider.372255/#post-10192413

How bad do you think the bolt on frame plate would interfere with this Pelfreybilt TC skid? Minor trimming to remove interference around bolt?

I don't think it would interfere at all. You would just have to install the slider, and then put the skid over top and bolt through both. So you might need a longer bolt

dam… these sliders look awesome. What is shipping to socal? Does it have to be to a business address? tax included in the price on the site?

Freight was about 140 to a business, and well over 200 to a home address.
