Fishing Rod Holder I Made

So today in Maryland was one of the hottest of all so today i decided that I wanted to make a fishing rod holder, it is made out of wood and no this is not for travel use and i dont recommend anyone try to make it for that purpose in any means, but yeah so heres the pics hope yall like and if anyone wants me to make them shoot me a pm and i'll talk about pricing and everything:

Yeah it only took me about two hours to do combined, aside from coming in for water, haha and i forgot to mention i would be able to paint in any color everyone wants

dont get me wrong here, i think its a great idea and turned out good, but if its not for travelling with the rods, whats the point? am i missing something?

 

Well im sure you could but i had an 11.5 foot surf rod on it, i mean you can get away with the ol 6 footers, but its for if you fish on the beach you can back up and instead of having to hold it and everything you can place it in there til a fish gets on the line, i plan on puttin a chair up there to get sit while i watch it ya know?

 

its like the rod holders in a boat that you can set in there while you have your line in the water, if thats a better explanations

 

ahhhh i see it now. i was thinking that too but figured it was too far back in the bed, but then again maybe not
