OFFSHORE TRIP!

Heres some pics of a trip we took about a year ago. 40 miles out from Ponce Inlet, Florida. We trolled all day caught 12 Mahi and a King fish. They called for 2-3 ft. seas...they ended up being 4-5 the damn outriggers were touching the water the boat was rockin so bad!! Nevertheless i may have puked a few times lol...It was well worth it though!

urright that was early morning!!! towards the afternoon it got rough!

 

nice! BTW, you would not find me taking pictures in 4-5 ft seas. lol I would be strapped in a chair with a bucket between my legs filled with barf. Good lookin fish!

 

ok damnit i didnt measure the waves!!!! LOL but they were big and it sucked balls..well worth catching some monster mahi

 

Give 20 footers a try and then tell me about what sucks....

F that! Even on a big ass cutter or anything that would still suck big time!

 

You get used to it. I only ever puked once and I had a sinus infection at the time...so I don't feel bad about it.

 

thats why im in the Army i dont think i could stand being at sea for more than one day.... even though the CG does look like a bad ass job

 

It is...I think we all have days that we envy someone elses job tho...=)

 

haha I would get used to it no doubt. It takes me a while to get my "sea legs" Every time I go scuba diving it takes me a while to get acclimated to being on a boat.

 

We free dive in 10-15 foot surf, if that counts for anything?

 

haha i surf 10-15 foot surf.... does that count haha i have taken boats out to 400 miles with a mother ship for fuel i was in a 46' custom that did 22 knots in reverse made for chasing monster marlin.. to bad i was dumb and never really got any good pics on that trip

 

22 knots in reverse damn that's impressive, I've been spooled by marlin while in full reverse, that kind of speed would've been nice.

 

the boat was made to pretty much never lose a fish ... 130w were all we used had like 15 of them 5 with 150 pound test 5 with 80 pound and 5 with 35pound it was like cheating

 

The question: Why the Mahi on the hot Florida concrete driveway?
You guys do not eat sushi?
Nice fish, it take us here in San Francisco 50-60 miles one way to find waters over 65 degrees and have a chance to mahi or albacore tuna.

lol they were only laid out for about 10 minutes while we were getting more ice for the cooler...

 

looking @ these pics is making me hungry i cant wait until Christmas dinner with the family
