I'm talking about shore fishing in tidal rivers (a mix of fresh and salt) like the Sac River by Rio Vista to be exact. I have always used Anchovies or Sardines, with equal success. I hear that Pile Worms are suppose to be good and ghost shrimp.

So what do some of you guys have good luck with?

In the delta, I have used live mudsuckers, live blue gills, and frozen anchovies. Frozen anchovies will always gets bite. Drifting with live mudsuckers in the san joaquin river near Antioch bridge by the power lines produces many fish.

Here in AZ, we have a couple of lakes here with stripe bass in them.. I chum with anchovies and will either use chucks of anchovies or waterdogs.. We'll also try trolling large lures from time to time but I mainly fish under lights at night, sinking the bait down deep....
