Thats what I do in my single cab truck. Works great except its so old I dont care if rain gets in the truck or not lol

did you catch my idea on another thread? Might not work for Surf casters but the idae of adding hangers to the crossbars for open transport would work

here the one i made for my truck, used a mahogany and 30* flush mounted holders. Drill pressed the holes, and mounted it under the bed rails and with two brackets in the middle through the bed wall nearest to the cab. works real well. only cost about 100 bucks and some thinking. Will make one for anyone who wants one. Its also extremely strong, i can literally jump on it without it moving at all.
