I am heading to Corolla NC in a week and a half and would like to get the kids into some fish down there. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to target?

How about gear recommendations? I have gear for pretty much any type of fishing from trout to sharks but can't pack it all. I will probably try for some sharks from the beach a couple of nights and know what gear I will bring for that. I just don't know if my other rods should be for light, medium, or heavy applications.

Any help appreciated.
