Installed a kit on my kayak today called SeaDek.

It is a peel and stick foam kit that is designed specifically for my yak. Basically it is for comfort and noise reduction.

The foam doesnt get as hot as the black plastic. I can set pliers and lures and such down on the foam now and not the plastic making banging noises.

Also it is more comfortable on my heels while paddling and more comfortable on my feet while standing.

Pretty happy with how it came out!

Also I took the extra piece of foam that came from the middle of that center hatch..and cut it to fit in my cup holder :D

I fish on the Elk River in Lincoln Co., TN alot out of a Jackson Coosa. Best 'yak I've ever owned, for fishing and floating. Camping out of the thing is awesome, there's so much on board storage. I've had myself, 2 cases of beer, food, cooler, tent, sleeping bag, fishing gear, etc, enough for a 3 day trip. I'm gonna miss warm weather.

    not a damn thing :(
I fish on a Hobie pro angler. One of the main reasons I bought my truck. It's heavy and too big for my Honda. I fish San Diego waters all year long!! I love it

I kayak fish in San Diego out of a Hobie REVO 11 & Pro Angler 12. Hauling them in the Tacoma is no problem.

I just got my first kayak this fall to get into kayak fishing. Had it out a couple times before it for cold. Can't wait til spring to get it out again. Should hold me over til summer when most of my time is spent saltwater fishing with my regular boat.

Ive paddled a few that were fun. I am looking at getting one as well. I think the longer ones will distribute weight better in shallow water. Personally for fishing/recreation I like the sit-on-top models. Depends on budget, but in my opinion Native Watercraft makes the Cadillac of Kayak.

I had a pro angler. Fabbed up a jetski trailer and the hobie cradles to carry and store it. Had some good times on the salt water inlets with it. Sold it and got a native.

Amazon has some good deals on Adventure Technology and Bending Branches paddles. The Carlisle Magik paddles are good low price entry level paddles as well. With fishing kayaks being wider than normal, you might want to look at the longer 240cm versions.

And you're going to love that Coosa. I've got it and the Big Tuna, but when it's just me going, the Coosa is my go-to boat.

I've got a Wilderness Pungo 12' Great all around kayak. Big cockpit, decent storage, but best of all is stable as hell. If you dump out it's easy to get back into from the water, but it's really difficult it tip. You really have to be trying/ not paying attention.

Two flushmount rod holders behind the seat, one adjustable position top mounted rod holder mounted fore of the cockpit, home made anchor trolly system. No pictures now since it's packed away in the garage for the winter.

I use it in the salt for striper fishing, mostly in Duxbury harbor, limited open ocean. Mainly used in the lake i live on. It's not ideal for any one situation, but it's great all around.

    One from this summer:

IMO I would spend more on a paddle just because you want a good quality paddle but you also want it to be comfortable to use seeing as how its how your getting around lol Mine was bout 300-350 cant remember exactly
