Well today was that time for me. I decided i should probably get it out before december considering we have already had a bit of snow. That and it was a really nice day (50 degrees) so i figured it make it easy on myself getting it out before i needed to rush. Only one other boat was still in the harbor so i wasnt the last one.

For you other guys with moorings how late do you leave your boats in? IF you live in the warm states i hate you.

I leave my pontoon in a slip year round at Lake Cumberland, just in case we want to fish. Cumberland never get below freezing, so I leave the motor down. Never know when a nice day will come along over the winter months. :)

I would love to leave mine in but the harbor does ice over from time to time.
It must be nice to take it for a spin on a nice winter day.

It took planning! I worked over forty years (four in the military) before getting a boat. I've had a Vanguard 15 racing dinghy, an old closed bow, a kayak and now all that's left is a small Bayliner and a small aluminum boat.

I gave up hot rodding for a new phase in my old age. :D

I wish I could leave my boat in the water all year, or all summer for that matter, we dont have any water big enough here... Mine has been winterized for about a month and a half now. It was 11F this morning, and even though its in my garage, it wouldnt last long at these temps. It wont see water again until at least mid April when the ice finally retreats.
