Nice tacoma you got there. I am having the same skyjacker lift installed today on my 07 and I cant wait to get her back.
What size tires are you running? With this set-up, can you go bigger than 265/70 17's? |

thanks, yea I'm running 285/75/16. a 285/70/17 will also work with wheels that are 4.5" backspacing with minimal negative offset.

OldRed is on the jack stands. I'm doing a knuckle rebuild. Found that the knuckle balls
were a little rusted on the outside and need to be sanded/jb welded to fill in pits/sanded again. ![]() ![]() I mangled the metal seal ring on the driver side that gos to the inside of the felt seal, but straitened it out as good as i could.... I think it will seal ok

Hopefully everything else will go ok.
I'm also trying to hunt down a hub or set of hubs. one of the hub clutch was missing spline teeth from the last person installing the hubs wrong.. Fucker!!! |

there is a small clanking noise in the front now after the rebuild. It stops as soon as I put the breaks on??? I had to get two new studs pressed into the hub and have a suspicion that the shop could have bent the rotor a bit. any other ideas??
Hubs are now WARN Premium locking hubs. Still looking for an extra Aisin hub for spare parts. I got the new slave cylinder on last tuesday and the clutch adjusted properly. All the hydraulics on the clutch are now new. I have a new gauge cluster coming so I'll be able to see whether the tach problem is the gauge or wiring to the gauge. |
