So is mine, but ive been lucky and mom has been gone so I get her 4runner! My build has been cheaper and will blow the KO kit away. Its just a matter of piecing everything together.

yeah no doubt, I would love to have the new LC turbo header and a decent turbo. Im in a 4x4 so I dont need tons of boast just like 6-8lbs for Hwy power.

For 6-8lbs you could probably knock nearly 800 off my total. You're looking at around 1500 for a decent non-intercooled turbo setup that can still get you substantial power gains. Oh and those LC turbo headers are badass!

K, update for the night. Got my ARP studs and Cometic 1.5mm Headgasket

Studs Installed, the ones nearest the timing chain had to be cut to clear the cam gear

Head Installed with cams

Painted intake plenum

Misc. Parts

My ohhh so messy interior

It should be running by sunday night. Maybe not boosting, but running!

Awesome build thread!! I just stumbled upon it and have been glued to the screen, only to find out i still have to wait LOL. Looks like a killer project, can't wait to see the final product.

Update for the night:
Half of the intake plenum installed, routing wiring harness

Rest of plenum, painted black

Removed EGR, soddered 10k resistor in plug

Throttle body and power steering pump mounted

Painted valve cover, coil packs mounted

Had to remove a bolt and grind down the AC compresser mounting bracket, in order to clear the manifold

Manifold on

Plugs, wires, throttle cables installed

TURBOOOOOOO!!!

Mount downpipe
Finish wiring Greddy Emanage
Fab intercooler piping
Install boost gauge
Install AEM Uego
Install bumper, headlight and grill

Then initial startup
