Turbo Build
Well I might as well document the whole process. Im going to be running 10psi with 450cc injectors. Sorry for some of the shitty pics.... damn cell phones.
Day 1: Tore down engine bay including intake plenum and valve cover. ![]() Day 2: Removed rest of plenum and replaced fuel filter. Set TDC ![]() ![]() Day 3: Removed cams and head. ![]() Day 4: Rebuilt the turbo, got 450cc injectors cleaned, balanced and flowed. Stock is on the left. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Day 5: Removed headers, collector and downpipe. Mounted my intercooler. Replaced valve cover gasket and sparkplug seals. Before: ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() Waiting on headgasket and studs, injector clips, boost controller and gauge. If funds allow project should be finished next friday! Will keep you posted. |

Anyone know if it would be wise to replace the cat with a test pipe? Less backpressure= more power?

Yes, the bigger the pressure differential across the tubine side of the turbo the better.
