    getting there....
i did the chrome on the front bumper, and the whole rear bumper, and i used less than half a can of the herculiner.............and that was 2 coats on each bumper.

did you do anything special to prep... other than reg painting prep? do you think it would hold better usuing a lower grit sand paper?? leave it a little rougher since you aren't looking for a real smooth finish with the herculiner?

Well, finally got around to picking up a cb and getting it installed. Went with a Cobra 18 WXST and it installed with much trouble. Put it right under the single din POS head unit that some asshat installed sometime before I got the rig.

In the future I will be ripping out the HU and CB and fabbing up a suitable mount for them both as well as trying to get one of these to make the fit better. I'll also probable split the coax somewhere and re-connectorize it for ease of putting in a SWR meter for testing. I'll also probably be getting another antenna. I hooked up my spare 3' Firestick but can't get the SWR down where I like it. But anywho here are the pics of it installed.

Lastly the mount is the T1L fender mount

    The latest.

Decided to coat the rocker panels with some Dupli-Color truck bed coating. Lets see how it holds up to rock chips.

    My latest.

I removed the spare tire from below the truck and all mounting hardware I then found some angle Iron a BFB a nut to match, some round stock and some 3/8 plate and went to town.

I now have a nice rear tire carrier for the Taco and have used up a small section of real estate to do so. I'm probably going to hit it with the sand blaster and either paint it or get it powder coated.

Thanks for the compliments btw. She will be a lot better come tomorrow. I plan on swinging by and having some pro's check out her front end and make sure the face lift went according to plan. That's a hint to what is coming btw.
