    none taken man. i see why you would point that out i would do the same thing. eating sloppy soldiers was my favorite thing about being a nco but like i said i never got to wear this type or even acu's. i was still in dcu's when i ets'd. but thanks for the heads up got it on there straight now funny how different it looks now i just never looked that close at it. Thanks you for those still serving i think of all the service members still in daily.

    Yea man the flap is for the Land Warrior Commo system. A system I have never seen or used (go figure) It is intended to run all the wires for the mic and ear piece out the back of the ACH to the power supply. Lets see ACH 2.1 lbs, Night vision with Rino mount and AA's 16 ounces, headlamp 8 ounces land warrior commo system 2.6 lbs. wearing around 6 lbs on your head for 20 hours a day, priceless

    nice to meet someone from my neck of the woods. my troops mo was to secure pluto 24/7. ridiculous mission 3 trucks on patrol for 3 hour intervals. we got our ass handed to us pretty good. we had to go from the rustimaya u turn north to the se intersection of sadr cant remember the route name anymore. we lost 4 1025's, 1 1114, and took on some pretty bad injuries. when was the last time you were there?

    dude where you in 101st. what was your callsign. Yea Pluto was a death trap. Aero's Vernon, Corn. any of those routes sound right. I was there in 05

    no 1st cav i left in apr 05. my callsign is my username. we just stayed on pluto for the most part. we did cordon and searches in all surrounding areas and had to go into sadr as qrf all the time for our inf battalion. 2-5 inf and 2-8 cav got ground up in there brads and abrams got hit hard.

    the plates are controlled items, helmets and soft armor are fine though. just the plates you gotta watch out for
