    i do line work for the phone company, and still can't figure out why anyone would want to buy these? no offense, but there's no use for them unless your gonna be climbing the pole doing work. get caught on the pole when your not supposed to be there and ya just might get in trouble, but hey if somone buys em' more power to ya

    i guess you could, but you need the "stake" that drives into the pole, for the step to attach too, if he has both, then ya i guess you could use them that way....good point

    There's use for them when you're installing cable at someones house and you don't want to break out your ladder. Just slide on these steps, climb the pole, do your business and leave. Obviously newer communities don't have telephone poles but there are still a lot of areas that do. When I installed cable I would use these steps all the time.

    Maybe there are some cable installers here that would find these beneficial.
